I am just like you!
I know what it feels like to be controlled by guilty thoughts of food. While eating breakfast, already thinking about lunch. Or while eating the first serving, already thinking about the next one.
This is just the mind leading you to a false treasure of momentary pleasure. It helps you justify eating for pleasure by reassuring you that you deserve pleasure. And of course, you do! But this pattern of your mind, not You, attempting to steal pleasure from food, or whatever your compulsion is, as you already know from experience, results in painful physical, mental and emotional consequences. Your body is simply showing you a lack of understanding of how your mind, not you, relates to food.
Because you are not able to make this distinction between your mind and you, you are powerless over food. At least this is what I discovered.
The only difference between you and I is that I realized this several years ago and have transformed not only my relationship to food, but to alcohol, shopping :) and exercise permanently through the very practices and spiritual teachings that I will inspire and motivate you with on your journey to the other side.
